Description
Join visual artist Candace Law in the studio on Saturday, April 15 from 10 am to 4 pm for a day of learning about creating art with encaustic. Space is limited, so you won’t want to miss out. This will be the only Introduction to Encaustic I offer this year.
The workshop is ideal for artists who are new to the medium and interested in gaining more knowledge about working with wax and getting hands-on experience. All the equipment and materials are provided, so this is a risk-free way for you to try something new and different. It may spark ideas and creativity in your own current work. But be warned—you may even find it as magical as I do and want to learn more!
We’ll be covering:
- The equipment used for this medium and how to safely work with each
- Materials and tools for the best painting results
- Adding stencils and mark-making—a couple of popular techniques
Demonstrations and group discussion, as well as individual work time and one-on-one time with me will fill out the day.
As always, the equipment, paints, panels, and more are provided. All you need to bring is your willingness to explore and have fun.
Sign up early and get the early-bird price! The cost is just $140 until March 31 or $165 for later registrations.
