Dan Gilbert (2012)
$495
Entrepreneur Dan Gilbert emerged as one of the central figures in Detroit’s 21st-century revival. Through massive investment in downtown real estate and the relocation of thousands of employees, he helped catalyze new economic energy in the city. His work represents a modern form of civic activism—using capital, optimism, and risk-taking to rebuild Detroit. I became personally acquainted with Dan when Quicken Loans was the first major investor in my solar engineering start-up ‘Greenlancer.com’, co-founded in 2011.
