Maus Haus Gallery presents “Dreamscapes”, an exhibition of work by a trio of artists. It opens on August 7 and runs through August 28 at Color | Ink Studio in Hazel Park.
The public is invited to attend the Artist Reception on Friday evening, August 7 from 5-8 pm. It’s free, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work in person. Light refreshments will be available. There is free parking in the lot and on the side streets.
Brian Fritz helps nature lovers fill their spaces with colorful and meaningful artwork so they can feel inspiration in their homes every day.
He is driven by a deep love of nature, storytelling, color, symbolism, and the emotional impact that art can have on people’s lives. Birds, wildlife, landscapes, and the natural world serve as both his artistic inspiration and philosophical guide. Every piece carries layers of story, symbolism, and meaning, inviting you to bring your own interpretations and emotional experiences into the work.
Rachel Glusky’s mission and passion is to make warm, whimsical, and weird art! She’s constantly motivated by artwork that gives her this kind of message, and she wants to give people the same fascinating space. With a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she has developed a growing mastery of painting.
With a BFA in studio art, Elizabeth Kissonergis spends much of her time drawing and painting and doing set design. She teaches at College for Creative Studies and Oakland Community College. She also holds drawing and painting classes at The Grosse Pointe War Memorial. A published author and illustrator, she loves to work in a variety of mediums; from small pen and ink to large scale acrylic paintings and murals. Interested more in ideas and imagination, much of the artist’s work focuses on dreamscapes–often times with an automotive themes since she was raised in the Metro Detroit area. Daughter of a Cypriot immigrant she is also inspired by her heritage as well as folklore and mythology.
