Artist Reception: Friday, September 5 at 5–8 pm

Maus Haus Gallery presents “After the Blueprint: All Things Architecture”, an exhibition that blurs the lines between art, architecture, and imagination during this year’s Detroit Month of Design. Journey through a curated cityscape where blueprints become brush strokes, concrete morphs into canvas, and the skylines come to life. The show brings together 30 local artists who aren’t just inspired by the city—they’re building its creative future. It opens on September 5 and runs through September 26 at Color | Ink Studio in Hazel Park.

“Detroit’s spirit is in its bones—the bricks, beams, and architectural dreams that shape our neighborhoods,” says Cheryl Maus, gallery founder and exhibition curator. “We want visitors to see, feel, and even help shape what Detroit could become, one artwork at a time.”

The artists featured in the exhibition are Bill Schahfer, Bonnie Weinreich, Brian Fritz, Catherine Peet, Cheryl Barill, Cheryl Maus (Curator), Darrell J. Dinges, Dave Christiansen, David Ribble, Debbie La Platt, Jacquelyn Block, Jeanette Strezinski, Jo Salwen, Joel Henry-Fisher, John Hadala, Katie Mollon, Leona Webb, Leslie Abraham, Linda Boyle, Matt Thornton, Melissa Valenti, Paula Zaks, Ron Moffitt, Rosemary Lee, Steven Quinkert, Suzanne Allen, Valerie Allen, Will Legg and Will Schippert.

The public is invited to attend the Artist Reception on Friday evening, September 5 from 5-8 pm. It’s free, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet many of the artists and discuss their work in person. Light refreshments will be available. There is free parking in the lot and on the side streets. Once the show opens, visit MausHausGallery.com/online-preview to view the available work online. The Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 1 to 5 pm, and at other times by appointment. Contact Cheryl at MausHausGallery@gmail.com with questions or to make an appointment.
