Description
It’s the middle of summer and the sun is high in the sky! Let’s use it to create one-of-a-kind prints in blue!
We’ll explore making creative prints in a glorious cyan blue using common objects, interesting flower and leaf shapes, and favorite personal photos. These fun prints can become stand-alone art, used as collage materials, or be enhanced with all kinds of other media. And you can get unexpected results, bringing a spontaneity to your work.
The cyanotype process is easy, doesn’t require any experience, and it can be done right in your backyard. Come join me for a day of creativity and connection with other artists. You won’t want to miss it.
The agenda for the day will include:
- An informal gathering at the beginning for art conversation over coffee and pastries and a look at a few contemporary artists working with cyanotypes.
- An overview of the materials and printing process
- A demonstration from start to finish
- Possible ways to present these prints or use them in you art
Demonstrations will be combined with ample time for independent work, and with one-on-one assistance, giving you a chance to explore this delightful process. The cyanotype supplies and many materials are provided, and you will receive a suggested supply list in the confirmation email.
