Description
Let’s start off the new year by loosening up and work with a different material: stencils!! Join visual artist Candace Law in the studio on Saturday, January 25 from 10 am to 4 pm for a day of learning to create art in encaustic with stencils.
Stencils come in all kinds of designs and can make an interesting background or a strong focal point. They can encourage creativity and are just plain fun to use.
We’ll start by talking about both stencils and masks, their differences, and how to effectively use them with hot wax. There will be a variety of heat-tolerant stencils to work with, but if you have any favorite ones, bring them along. As always, there will be demos as well as ample time for individual work.
Workshops have been filling fast and space is limited, so you won’t want to miss out. And sign up early to get the early-bird price! The cost is just $145 until January 17 or $175 for later registrations.
