Tony Spina (1991)
Legendary Detroit Free Press photographer Tony Spina captured defining moments of Detroit’s history through the lens of photojournalism.
He was my personal mentor and friend. He set a high bar for real journalism. His dedication shaped generations of photographers and helped define the visual storytelling tradition of American journalism.
